The CEBCP held its annual symposium and awards ceremony, in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on June 23 – 24, 2014 at George Mason University’s Arlington Campus. The theme of this year’s symposium was “Challenges in Evidence-Based Crime Policy” and explored issues related to firearms and violence; school safety; police technology; community crime prevention; crime analysis and evidence-based policing; policing, deterrence and diversion; and the role of science in criminal justice policy.
