Xiaoyun Wu is a research associate in the Criminology, Law and Society department at George Mason University. Her research interests include policing, deterrence, and crime prevention. Her current work focuses on understanding everyday police proactive activities and deployment and its dynamic relationship with crime and disorder, using various data sources, measurements, and statistical methods. She recently received a PhD from George Mason University and currently serves as the managing editor for Criminology & Public Policy.
