Michael is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. He received his M.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2018 and his B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015. His research interests include place-based criminology, the disorder-crime association, and policing.
