Analysis for Operations and EBP
The Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy is proud to announce the release of the updated and free 2026 introductory videos on crime analysis by technology, data, and analysis expert and member of the Evidence-Based Policing Hall of Fame JAMIE ROUSH:
"Crime & Intelligence Analysis for Operations" provides a practical introduction to the core concepts of crime and intelligence analysis.
"From Analytic Capacity to Evidence-Based Policing" is designed specifically for law enforcement supervisors and leaders and provides a strategic roadmap for building an organizational culture grounded in analysis, problem-solving, and evidence-based decision-making.
How to use these videos
These free training videos were initially created in 2013 for the Matrix Demonstration "Academy Curriculum" Project and have become one of the MDP's most frequently downloaded and used video resources. Each training session is divided into four 15-minute modules. We encourage police academies and agencies to use these free modules to develop sessions, discussions, and assessments for their training and professional development on evidence-based policing.
