Madeline McPherson is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. She has received an M.S. in Justice, Law, & Criminology from American University and a B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Duquesne University. Prior to attending Mason, Maddie worked in policy and legislative affairs for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Maddie’s research interests include justice administration, crime policy, corrections, penology, and race/ethnicity.
