Madeline McPherson is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. She received her M.S. in Justice, Law, & Criminology from American University in 2015 and her B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Duquesne University in 2013. From 2015 to 2018, Maddie worked as a Policy Analyst for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a Project Coordinator for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). Maddie’s research interests include crime policy, corrections & penology, race/ethnicity, and policing.
