Brian Lawton, John Jay College (CUNY)
Dr. Brian Lawton is an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. Prior to coming to John Jay he has worked as an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University and most recently at George Mason University. His research interests focus on the intersection of crime and health, place and crime, and fear and safety concerns. He received his doctorate in Criminal Justice from Temple University and has had research articles published in journals such as Justice Quarterly, Quantitative Criminology and the Journal of Crime and Delinquency.
