Dr. Joshua Hinkle is an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia State University. He received his doctoral degree in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland in the summer of 2009 after completing his Master’s degree in the department in May 2005. Dr. Hinkle’s research interests include evidence-based policing, the disorder-crime nexus, fear of crime and experimental methods. His research has been funded by the National Institute of Justice and the National Science Foundation. His work appears in journals such as Criminology, Criminology & Public Policy, and the Journal of Experimental Criminology.
